Visa: J-1 Culinary Intern/Trainee (through Yummy Jobs)
As a culinary intern, you’ll work across a range of kitchen environments, from fine dining to beachside bistros, gaining hands-on experience in everything from prep and plating to seasonal menu development.
You’ll also train under the guidance of top culinary professionals, including exposure to the resort’s newest addition — Theodosia, a modern, regionally inspired restaurant from James Beard award-winning chef Vivian Howard.
Located in Duck, NC, Sanderling Resort is a peaceful retreat with private beaches, sunlit dunes, spa and fitness facilities, and multiple dining venues. The property embraces its maritime heritage while offering guests the elegance of a luxury escape.
You’ll work in kitchens that balance elevated Southern cuisine with fresh, coastal ingredients — and where every dish reflects the soul of the Outer Banks.
