Choose from three exciting 6-month internship or trainee tracks: Rooms Division, Culinary Arts, or Pastry. Each one is packed with real-world experience, mentorship, and opportunities to grow your skills in a world-class setting.

Rooms Division Program

Train across the full spectrum of hotel operations and guest services. You’ll rotate every 2–3 months through Biltmore’s iconic properties, including The Inn, one of Condé Nast’s Top 100 Hotels, and The Village Hotel.

Your rotations may include:

  • Front Desk

  • Bell Services

  • Valet Dispatch

  • PBX Services

  • Night Auditing

  • RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) Management

This track is perfect if you’re looking to build a career in luxury accommodation, guest experience, or hotel operations.

Pay Rate: $17.00 USD/hour
Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 32 per week


Culinary Arts & Pastry Programs

Love to cook, create, and plate like a pro? Join Biltmore’s Culinary or Pastry programs and train in state-of-the-art kitchens across six unique dining venues — all using estate-grown produce, meat, and wine.

From fine dining to casual concepts, you’ll work under the mentorship of Biltmore’s renowned chefs and rotate through multiple kitchens for a well-rounded experience.

Skills you’ll develop:

  • Knife techniques and mise en place

  • A la carte, buffet, and banquet service

  • Plate design and high-volume prep

  • Inventory, ordering, and menu design

  • Scheduling and kitchen operations

Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 32 per week


Meet the Chefs

Your mentors at Biltmore aren’t just chefs — they’re seasoned industry leaders with experience in Michelin-starred restaurants, top resorts, and international kitchens. You’ll learn from legends like:

  • Chef Mark DeMarco, Estate Executive Chef, who’s been part of Biltmore since 2004 and holds a Certified Executive Chef designation

  • Chef Victoria Roenigk, Executive Chef at Village Social, blending classic technique with Southern flair

  • Chef Jeffrey Stanford, master of Haute Creole and Southern cuisine, with experience at Commander’s Palace

  • Chef Simon Townsend, a UK-trained culinary artist who brings sustainability and innovation to Biltmore’s Bistro

Participants on this program will be required to obtain a J-1 Intern or Trainee visa through Yummy Jobs and will be able to train for a period of time as outlined by the Biltmore. Upon completion of the program, participants will have up to 30 days to travel within the United States. Participants must then return to their home country upon completion of the program.

Housing

Biltmore provides fully furnished shared housing for program participants. You’ll live in a house or apartment with fellow interns or trainees — a great way to connect, unwind, and make lifelong friends.

Cost: $150 USD/week (payroll deducted, all utilities included*)
Optional transport to/from work: $20 USD/week
