Experience Culinary Arts training at The Boca Raton. Redefining luxury and fun in south Florida, Boca Raton is nestled in a Mediterranean inspired historic village and just a few steps from the stunning south Florida coastline.
This unique training opportunity will give participants an insight into Culinary at its best, offering you a highly sought-after training experience along with the ability to share your culture and make friends for life.

During your Internship with The Boca Raton you will closely follow a unique training plan, there to ensure you are exposed to all areas of Culinary Operations within the hotel. Participants will be exposed to each of the F&B areas within this property; a rotational program through the following areas (usually 4-5 weeks in each area):
- AM Banquets, PM Banquets, Garde Manager, 501 East Kitchen, Lucca, Boca Beach Club AM, Boca Beach Club PM, Morimoto Sushi, Boca Country Club Kitchen and Main Kitchen
Participants will be required to work full-time throughout the program and will be provided with a minimum of 32 hours work each week. Participants will be paid an hourly wage of $16.00 USD per hour.
Participants on this program will be required to obtain a J-1 Intern or Trainee visa through Yummy Jobs and will be able to train for a period of time as outlined by The Boca Raton. Upon completion of the program, participants will have up to 30 days to travel within the United States. Participants must then return to their home country upon completion of the program.

ANDREW ROENBECK
EXECUTIVE CHEF
Chef Roenbeck has been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years. An integral part of The Boca Raton for 27 years, Chef Roenbeck joined Boca Resort’s culinary team in September of 1991. He supervises a culinary staff of 165, overseeing all aspects of the more than $70 million food and beverage operation.
Prior to joining the culinary team at Boca Raton Resort & Club, Chef Roenbeck held a number of culinary positions. He completed a stage at the world-famous Café and Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo working with renowned Chef Alain Ducasse at the Louis XV restaurant and with Café de Paris’s executive chef Roger Cuisinier. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, in 1982, he went to work for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and won a Gold Medal for Hershey’s International Chocolate Festival. For six years he served as a task force leader for Interstate Hotels and Resorts, opening new hotels throughout the United States during his tenure. In 1989, he was hired to open the Trump Taj Majal. Chef Roenbeck moved to Boca Raton to work for one of the area’s exclusive country clubs.
His solid reputation and extensive contacts led Chef Roenbeck to a position at Boca Raton Resort & Club, where he has remained for the last 27 years, making Boca Resort one of the culinary leaders in the Waldorf Astoria collection as its Executive Chef. Chef Roenbeck has partaken in numerous top guest chef opportunities around the United States, where he most recently participated in the annual A Taste of Waldorf Astoria competition. Chef Roenbeck and his culinary team have sponsored the culinary externship recruiting program for more than 20 years, educating and developing the Resort’s future Culinarians.
Housing for this program is provided by The Boca Raton, you will be housed as well as sharing a room with fellow program participants in a fully furnished house or apartment complex.
Housing is payroll deducted at a rate of $125.00 USD per week inclusive of all utilities*.
You will be required to pay a security deposit of $100 USD at the start of your program

INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Applicants will be required to attend a pre-screen interview via video call with a member of the Yummy Jobs Team.
- If successful, applicants will be required to attend a final interview with The Boca Raton HR Team via video call.
